Clatsop Community College is scheduled for a site visit by The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) in conjunction with a Year-Seven Comprehensive NWCCU Evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness accreditation process. The visit will take place October 14-16, 2026.

The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) explains that the Evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness (EIE), also called the Year Seven, is a comprehensive, summative evaluation of the institution, occurring in the seventh year of the accreditation cycle. The EIE addresses all Standards and reaffirms the institution's continued compliance with the Eligibility Requirements.

Clatsop Community College has been accredited continuously by NWCCU since 1965, having most recently reaffirmed in February 2020.

As part of the process, comments from the public are invited and considered with regard to Clatsop's qualification for accreditation. NWCCU electronic submission online link is: https://nwccu.org/member-institutions/upcoming-evaluations/.

Written public comments should be submitted to NWCCU. Comments are due to the Commission no later than October 4th, 2026.
