Pacific County Fire District #1 is seeking qualified applicants for the position of full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician.
Rate of Pay: $24.00-$27.00 hourly, depending on qualifications. This position is non-exempt and therefore is eligible for overtime. The employee will be eligible for a Personal Services Contract with a negotiated salary after passing a one-year probationary period.
This position will be responsible for preventing costly repairs to the department's facilities, landscapes, and mechanical systems by ensuring their overall operation is reliable, consistent, and ready for daily use. Under direction of the Assistant Chief of Administrative, the Facilities Maintenance Technician performs routine, preventative maintenance and repair work, coordinates larger maintenance and service work with outside contracts and vendors, makes recommendations for future repairs and replacement, and provides records of expenditures of service completed on all department facilities and mechanical systems.
Benefits: Medical, vision, dental, and basic life insurance are provided. Employee will be enrolled in PERS through Washington State Department of Retirement Systems with optional enrollment in the DRS Deferred Compensation Program. Eight hours of paid vacation will accrue monthly, and the employee will receive twelve paid holidays per year.
