SOUTH COUNTY ROAD MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II

Pacific County Department of Public Works is now accepting applications for a full-time Road Maintenance Technician II (RMT II) positions.

Job Title: RMT II
Salary: $24.90 - $31.55 per hour D.O.E.
Union Status: Local 367
Location: 318 2nd Street NE, Long Beach, WA 98631
Close Date: Open until filled

Minimum Qualifications: Must have a valid Washington State Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class "A" without brake restriction, current Medical Certification, a current Flagging Certificate and must have or have the ability to obtain a First Aid/CPR Certificate. The employee must be a citizen of the United States of America and a minimum of 18 years of age.

Essential Job Duties: Frequently operates heavy equipment such as road graders, excavation equipment, multi-unit trucks and other equipment common to road construction and maintenance. Performs manual labor such as installation of culverts, patching potholes, traffic control, and vegetation control.

Benefits: Full Time plus Benefits, Union represented. Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in a deferred compensation plan as well as the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems. Employees will also receive annual and sick leave, as well as 12 paid holidays.

equivalency and at least two (2) years managerial experience that provides the applicant with the attributes defined in Section 6 of the Job Description.

Essential Duties: Plans, directs, and manages the routine and emergency facilities work of Pacific County owned facilities and properties. Advises and assists with policy and program planning. Administers contracts, conducts project analyses, and monitors inventory. This position will require both in the field and office settings. Field work may require traversing through terrains, lifting and pulling up to 100 pounds, and may occur in inclement weather.

Benefits: Full Time plus Benefits. Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in a deferred compensation plan as well as have a retirement plan through the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems.
